This blog is brought to you by Ferrand Triple K Farms, one of the largest Minature horse farms in the mid-west. We are located in Greencastle Indiana. On our farm we have up to four generations of mares and babies, and all with an eye towards color that is outstanding. Our breeding has gone all over the USA and Canada and we have been breeding for 20 years. Really great beginnings. This blog is meant to help educate clients and help future clients decide if a miniature horse is right for them.

Where do I go to get my horse color tested?

There are a few places out there to do this but we like and use regularly the Florda Animal Genetics Lab.

From their DNA testing, their customer service, down to their color calculator they are our favorites. They also do DNA testing for birds and dogs as well but we have never used those divisions.
